This Competition will be judged on Friday 26 July 2024 at 6.30pm. Exhibits can be staged between 2pm and 5pm on Friday afternoon.
PRIZE MONEY
Per Individual Article 1st £5, 2nd £3, 3rd £2. Team Prize 1st £20, 2nd £15, 3rd £10.
Each individual Women’s Institute may put forward the work of one team, all of whom must be members of that Institute. A display comprising five articles, each of which must be made by a team member, are to be staged.
The Judges will select a 1st, 2nd and 3rd for each element and also for presentation. Points will be awarded accordingly. 1st - 5 points, 2nd - 3 points and 3rd - 1 point. The Team with the most points wins.
Items to be displayed on a tea tray. Trays to be provided by exhibitors. Space allowed on a tabletop - 90cm wide.
Display to contain the following:
1. An embroidered tray cloth
2. A crocheted beaded milk jug cover
3. 4 slices of ginger cake
4. 4 shortbread biscuits
5. A floral arrangement in a teapot. Space allowed: width 30cms. Height optional. (Floral arrangement to be judged in accordance with the NAFAS Competitions Manual 4th Edition 2023)
